Introduction

Assuria is pleased to announce the release of a new Change Detection user interface as part of Assuria Information Manager (AIM).  AIM is a new interface to Assuria Auditor database and is fully integrated with and runs alongside the current Console user interface.

The Change Detection user interface provides access to data held in the Assuria Auditor Console database..

The Change Detection view of Assuria Information Manager (AIM) is designed to help you monitor and detect changes to systems as recorded in Assuria Auditor baselines. Intended for security  management and for ongoing operations use, AIM enables the rapid identification of those systems with changes. The identified changes can be quickly viewed and appropriate action determined.  rather than make notes, the details can be ‘cut and pasted’ as an ‘aide memoire’ or quick report.

In this Release 1, AIM provides a view of the Assuria Auditor Change Detection information.  A number of additional views for Assuria Information are planned and will be introduced by Assuria in the next months.

Please note that at Release 1 Windows Server 2008 Features, Roles and Brokers are not supported in AIM.  These will be added at a later release.

Availability

AIM is available now to all Assuria Auditor customers who have current maintenance agreement with Assuria.

Installation

AIM is installed alongside and Assuria Auditor Console with a separate InstallShield package.

Technology

Assuria AIM is a significant part of the ongoing evolution and transition of Assuria Auditor.  The AIM user interface will be extended and integrated into a new Assuria Auditor user interface which will eventually replace the existing Console.

Assuria Information Manager user interface is written using Java and Swing technology which allows the construction of effective modern user interfaces.
